The DR8 Junior PC Lab Coat takes inspiration from the humanitarian group, Save the Children. In every program, the humanitarian group aims to innovate, develop, and prove replicable solutions to the problems children face. Attempt to achieve effective and sustainable results. Be the voice for children, campaigning for better practices and policies to ensure children's rights are met. Build relationships with children, communities, governments, civil society, and private sector organizations in order to increase their impact. Save The Children aim to deliver the greatest possible impact for children in 120 countries. In 2009, they launched their largest-ever global campaign: EVERY ONE. A campaign to make stopping children and mothers dying a political priority and mobilizing thousands of people in rich and poor countries. The overall vision is that no child under the age of 5 dies from preventable causes, and public attitudes will not tolerate a return to increased levels of child deaths. The most recent report in 2015 states, they have trained 494,906 health workers since 2009, beating their target of 400,000. In 2014, they directly reached 23 million children under the age of 5 and women through their maternal, new-born and child health programs. This includes 701,194 births attended by skilled workers, 860,084 children vaccinated, 555,961 children treated for acute malnutrition, 5.8 million cases of malaria, pneumonia, diarrhoea, and malnutrition treated, and 1.6 million preventive interventions. By 2030 they aim to end preventable maternal, new-born, and child deaths, achieve universal coverage of key health services, and tackle child malnutrition. They maintain no target will be considered met until they’re all met.
